DialStudio is a visual editor for Garmin watch Faces, Apps, Widgets, and activity Fields. You can design and preview in a browser without writing code.

Use the desktop app when you are ready to build and install a project on your watch.

Choose what to create

Face: The home screen you see throughout the day. Use it for time, date, health data, and status at a glance.
App: A multi-screen experience opened from the watch’s app list. Use it for guided workflows, activities, maps, sensors, pairing, or hardware controls.
Widget: A compact summary that can open to a detail page. Use it for weather, service updates, and quick actions.
Field: A live value shown during a recorded activity such as Run, Bike, or Hike. Use it for workout metrics, formulas, zones, and alerts.

Find your way around

Devices: Choose your watch and check what it supports.
Explore: Start from a template.
Projects: Find and organize your work.
Editor: Arrange the design, change its settings, and preview it.
Build and install: Create a watch file and transfer it over USB. These steps require the desktop app.

Projects save automatically. When you are signed in, DialStudio also syncs supported projects and preferences so you can move between the browser, mobile, and desktop app. See Accounts and sync for the short version.

Reuse a design

Use a template to save a complete project as a starting point. Use an element kit to save a group of selected elements.

Templates and kits stay with their project type. For example, a Widget kit can be used only in Widgets. Adding one creates a separate copy, so editing it does not change the original.

Put a project on your watch

When your design is ready:

Create an account and sign in. An account is required to build and install.
Complete the one-time desktop setup.
Build the project for your exact watch.
Install it over USB.

Garmin still controls activity recording, system menus, permissions, and device features. Always test the finished project on the watch you plan to use.
